An Old Horse.

September 3, 2009

Another work in progress as we launched they hype page for CENTRAL Youth Movement (centralyouthmovement.com) today…using some work we’ve had on the backburner for a while so it was good to finally put it to use. Looking forward to the full launch of the new webby – and we’ve also been working on an identity project as well so I’ll get that up when I’m back from the East Coast.

Next Is Now Is Yesterday.

May 18, 2009

Spent this past weekend working Overflow: Next (www.overflowyouth.com) and it definitely went off. No doubt a rush as the event neared but the team killed it all weekend long… well minus that moment we thought we lost 6 macs. This year’s screen setup featured a widescreen made up of 3 individuals allowing us to switch between 3 seperate visuals or one complete wide – below that we had a team of artists making some beauty happen on a massive wall as the event rolled on – it looked great so have a look in the portfolio at: http://www.thebrosociates.com/clients/overflow/.

All in all, 2000+ turned out, over $33 000 was raised for Life Campaign (www.lifecampaign.org), we got our fruit-to-go’s in the zit pit, and as always a total honour to do this thing with friends.

Good Company Back In Whistler.

March 29, 2009

Two of my favourite captures from the 50th b-day celebration we found ourselves at last evening. Nerdia welcomes us and Jonny looks mighty fine for his lady.

A Familiar Scene.

March 27, 2009

Flew back into Van and up to Whistler. This last trek home wasn’t as crazy as the last when I found myself through Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. Here’s a couple from February and I will get some of my favourites from Ottawa up next week.

Yumei.

March 26, 2009

Just a couple snaps from our time spent hanging out with Pete of Love The Empire. All in all, it was a good day as we nailed down some ideas on the creative front and landed some good material we’ll be able to tie into everything we’re working on. It is always good to hear about everything this guy has on the go and – full on inspiring and he knows how to bring the good times. So if you want really want, stalk him via the latest interfad: http://twitter.com/pete_klassen

A work in progress. Friends over at the Life Campaign have been killin’ it with over $100 THOUSAND(and counting) raised to deal with the water crisis… we’ve been working with them on the latest pieces of the ad campaign so check it out. And below a photo of the tour and the official video in case you don’t know what it’s all about. Follow what Darcy and the team are up to at: www.lifecampaign.org

Something Beautiful.

March 11, 2009

Had the immense pleasure over the last couple months of working with housebeautiful. Yep, that’s lowercase with the period. Essential. It’s been fun taking this thing from the initial concept to what we’ve got in our hands today. So now we have what should make its way onto the record.

This piece is about the idea that at the heart of chaos there’s this place of rest. I decided to explore a bit of what creates that longing… there are a number of elements at play here such as the water or smoke, often things that bring a peaceful feeling, wreaking havoc – things have come undone. There’s a bit of shipwreck happening.. but the clouds and the light suggest a lighter feel to all the heaviness around – hope is looming. You can follow them and await the release here: www.myspace.com/housebeautifulband

Not Taking A Backseat Baby.

The boys of Journey To Aspen have been back in studio transforming more of their sound into digital magic to make widely available to the listening world. We had a great time working on their debut EP, Lemon! Lime! Party Time!, and merch for the tour as well as SCENE Festival. If you want to check them out, give this some love: www.myspace.com/journeytoaspen
